Okay, I couldn't find a human willing to pose in the 3D sunglasses

First 24 – first 3D film (The Hobbit) at York Vue. Just the right film for 3D, too. Comical turning round to see everyone staring back in shades, though Olly felt it all made film a bit blurry. Film itself definitely enhanced by 3D, especially the walking trees, which made me duck.
Marks: 7/10 for novelty value, though novelty value also made me keep taking the glasses off to check it wasn’t better without.

I turned 50 in June and have decided to write about some of the new experiences that happen to me over the next 12 months, not in a show-off way, but to remind myself (and any others that access this) that new experiences happen in all shapes and sizes. I suppose I'm looking at ways to remind myself of the positives. I'm also hoping this will spark off taking steps in a few different directions - what, I don't yet know.
